Our goal is to put a human face on the numbers that scroll across your news ticker, to look at the people that live their daily lives within war zones, and to provide a rarely seen window into the impact of war beyond the executive summary of history books and mass media. From these images of war develops an image of peace, wherein the humanity of the populations so brazenly simplified by the discourse of politics and economics is swept aside, and a vision of humanity, complex, intricate, and beautiful is realized."
