Sexual Morality in China

"Morality changes according to time and space, although time-bound human beings find this hard to accept and imagine. For example, in ancient China, men and women who met before marriage went against the morality of the time. In contemporary China, dating before marriage has become a common practise without infringing morality. Furthermore, cohabitation beofre marriage has become a choice of the majority in Western European countries. However, in Chinese society, cohabitation beofre marriage is still seen as immoral. In sum, there is no universal norm on the relationship between love, marriage and sex; there is no universal moral norm. We can only try to find the most reasonable arrangement to minimize harm rather than try to punish anybody"
