Poetry, finally...

“Standing on the balcony at night,
staring at the moon
I can see the crimson parapets,
of Yatsugatake’s western slopes,
mute in the chilly moonlight,
their contours unchanged since antiquity.
Returning to my room,
perusing the classical texts
of Chinese literature,
images of ancient China
are resurrected before my eyes”

From “The Go Master”, by Tian Zhuangzhuang, 2006
